Let's go Warriors! Let's go!

This school year, our 5th grader, Isaiah, is participating in B-team basketball. He is doing a great job and has learned a lot from his three coaches.

Anxiously waiting for a pass

Here it comes Danny!

We are so proud of how well he has done this season. His team took Consolation Champions at the tournament this past weekend.

Way to go, Isaiah!

P.S. Warriors is the name of our school's team:)

Galena, Illinois

Can I just say...MY HUSBAND IS THE GREATEST?!

He, and our good friend Drew, planned a surprise weekend for their wives, April and myself, to Galena, Illinois. We enjoyed 2 days of shopping, eating and fellowship. I am so grateful to be blessed with such a thoughtful husband (and friends:)).

Look! Here we are entering the state of Illinois:)

This is the hotel that we stayed at. It was built in 1855 and welcomed some very famous people like presidents Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant.

Drew & April in the "Quiet Room"

Since the Midwest was still experiencing subzero temperatures on that Friday, we took a little trip (within our trip) to Iowa to go see a movie that day.

Enjoying a "nail biting" game of Pictionary.

Who is this crazy man?

It was a great 2 days! The guys think the wives should plan a weekend for them now:). We're going to work on it.

Cold/Snow Day

What do you do when the weather is -15 degrees below zero with windchills in the -30 to -40 degrees below zero?

Well of course...

Torture your little two year-old Princess...

By putting multiple pigtails in...

And then chase her about the house with your camera:)

But isn't she cute?

Mommy in Training

My Little Princess is such a mommy at heart. I love to watch her care for her "babies" and give them lots of love. We had the opportunity this past weekend, to spend time together, just the two of us, while the boys and Daddy were up north snowmobiling. I adore our "girl" time.

Highchair must be prepared for Baby

Said Baby must be held gently

Gentleness is no longer a factor. Baby can be held by head.

Baby must say prayers before eating.

A well-rounded meal is essential!

Food travels fast through little (stuffed) body.

Good job, Baby!

Time to "empty" the cup:)

"Mommy's" turn!

Happy New Year!

Come on Isaiah, you can do it!

Go Steph, go!

New Year's was fun and busy day at the Scheuer household. We loved spending time with family and friends, ringing in 2009. The Tiedtkes, Scheuers (Bill & Bobbie), Scheuers (Pete, Felicia, Sarah and Ryan), my mom and my niece Stephanie joined us. We are especially excited to see what the Lord has in store for all of us for 2009. Regardless, we know His blessings will flow.

This Christmas was a wonderful one. Enjoying family and friends and the Ultimate Gift. We spent Christmas Eve at our house enjoying time with my mom. On Christmas Day we went to Bill and Bobbie's and spent the day with 3 of Steve's 5 brothers and their families. Later in the day Pastor Knea and his family joined us as well. On New Year's Eve we had the opportunity to exchange gifts with Cousin Stephanie.
