Kinder Place Potluck

This past Tuesday, Kinder Place had its annual potluck. Kinder Place is the daycare at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, where Elsi attends two days a week. She loves it there and gets lots of good lovin' from the teachers:).

We enjoyed delicious food and fellowship.

We congratulated and celebrated Sue Lindeman's retirement after 25 years of service in various areas of St. Paul's.

We listened to Miss Becky sing a beautiful a cappella solo.

We also listened to a very talented young man, Taylor Heinzel, sing a Christmas song while his dad accompanied on the guitar (both of whom belong to one of our church's praise teams).

Each child that attends Kinder Place received a gift. Elsi was thrilled with her glittery pop-up book and has barely put it down since then.

We are so grateful that our daughter is fortunate enough to attend a Christian day care like Kinder Place. She is shown and taught Jesus' love and forgiveness every day. I wouldn't have it any other way:).

Ahhh, Mom's Christmas cookies:)

There's nothing like them...

delicious Christmas cookies...

warm, right out of the oven...

unless of course, they are one of Grandma Dorothy's cookies. My mom made 34 different kinds of Christmas cookies this year--5 dozen of each! That's over 2,000 cookies! I'm ambitious, but not quite that much. I guess I missed out on that gene:).

Oconomowoc Christmas Parade

In addition to our Scheuer Tree Trimming party on Saturday, we also participated in the Oconomowoc Christmas Parade on behalf of St. Paul's. We had a float, which displayed the manger scene. The kids tossed candy to the crowd and we handed out flyers inviting people to our Christmas Production, Journey to Christmas. It was chilly, but sunny.

Mike Papa, the Wise Man (or as we called him, the Wise Nun:))

Elsi & Elizabeth, the angels

We had a great time and it was a wonderful opportunity to witness about the birth of our Savior.

Claire Bear

I have a beautiful daughter. She is cute and adorable and full of spunk. So much so that I rarely get any pictures of her. Remember this?

Well this weekend I had the incredible pleasure of spending time with my beautiful niece, Claire. She has got to be the most photogenic baby I know:).

See?

Now, bear in mind, I haven't forgotten when Elsi did pose for this picture recently on Thanksgiving. I'll take what I can get:).

What?...

Isn't this...

Tree Trimming

This past Saturday, we had our annual Scheuer tree trimming party at Bill & Bobbie's. Adam & Jill, Pete, Jim & Fatime, and John & Gina and their kids were all able to come. We celebrated Christmas with some of the families because they be able to be there for Christmas. We had a wonderful time and it was great to see everyone.
